ニューヨークのファンクショナルアーティストの福永氏と神宮外苑の聖徳記念絵画館へ行く。
auの携帯電話で話題になっている吉岡徳仁氏がスワロフスキーのクリスタルを使った作品が展示されており、そのオープニングパーティーである。
作品にはもちろん感銘を受けたのだが聖徳記念絵画館自体に行くのが初めてだったので、この建物自体に感動してしまう。
国会議事堂に似ているなぁと思ってしまうのだが、聖徳記念絵画館の方が大正時代の建築物として古いのだそうだ。
こんな素敵な場所があること自体知らなかった。
その後、表参道の青山ブックセンターへ移動する。
先日、福永氏の個展で紹介していただいたアートディレクター徳田氏のアートプロジェクトのオープニングパーティー。
アートプロジェクトretired weapons。
英語の言葉の意味通り、武器は引退して、よりよい方向に生まれ変わり、世界の平和を願うアートプロジェクトなのである。
いい感じで力が抜けているのだが、メッセージもきっちりある素晴らしいプロジェクトである。
で、びっくりしたのが、コアメンバーにホワイトマンの関係者でもある渋谷氏が入っているではないか？
というわけで、フィガロの千ちゃんも、フライングブックスの山路氏もラッパーのタカツキ氏も詩人の小林氏もイラストレーターのASAKO氏と顔なじみのメンバーも遊びに来ていたので、何だかパーティー嫌いのイシコも一気に肩の力が抜けてゆるゆるになる。
その後、華道家の大久保氏、ソニーのアートディレクター茂木氏や深松氏、WEBデザイナーのゆたか氏らと食事。何だかアートな一日であった。
